Who is a real American? In your answer, discuss Mr. Neck’s views of a real American and if you think there are some people who are not really Americans, and how that seems to you. Mr. Neck’s view of American is that you at least had to be here for 21 years, and have to be a good worker. “Mm family has been in this country for over two hundred years. We built this place; fought in every war from the first one to the last one, paid taxes, and voted.” I think that Mr. Neck thinks that to be a true American you have to be a hard worker, pay taxes, and fight for our country. I think he is correct because if you are American you should do all of those things and do as much possible to fight for your country.
Why is it that sometimes people like us more when they can get something out of us? In your answer discuss why you think The Martha’s may or may not be good friends to Heather.
Sometimes people like us more when they want something from us because they are selfish. They want to have everything others have, and that is not right. They only tend to think about them selves and not other people around them. I think that the Martha’s are not good friends to heather because they only want her so she could do things for them. They treat her like if she was a slave. They are only heathers so they could see what they could get from heather. “Part of her being on probation means she’s not allowed to take credit for her work.”
What should we value in other people? In your answer discuss what qualities are important in a person and what you usually first notice about someone.
In other people we should value their true personalities. The first thing most people notice on others is the attitude of the person. I think it is real important for someone to act like whom they really are and be nice, and not act mean to others. A person should be valued for the good things they do and not for the bad things. A valued person to me is someone that likes to help others and is very nice. You shouldn’t value someone because of the popularity, the way they look, the way they are dressed, or if they have money. a person should be trustworthy and very helpful to others an d amongst themselves.
