Literary Terms

1. Plot: a secret plan or scheme to accomplish some purpose, esp. a hostile, unlawful, or evil purpose. "it is my first day of morning of high school. i have seven new notebooks, a skirt i hat, and a stomachache."
2. Character: the aggregate of features and traits that form the individual nature of some person or thing. " My english teacher has no face. she has uncombed stringy hair that droops on her shoulders. the hair is black from her part to her ears and then neon orange to fizzy ends. I cant decide if she had pissed off her hairdresses or is morphing into a monarch butterfly. I called her Hairwoman."
 3. Setting: the act of a person or thing that sets. "it is my first morning of high school." 
4. Irony: the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning. "I grab a seat. Another wounded zebra turns and smiles at me."
5. Motif: a dominant idea or feature. " a predator approaches: gray jock buzz cut, whistle around a neck thicker than his head."
